80-85 DEGREES : TEMP VARIES DEPENDING ON NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN THE ROOM . QUIETER MUSIC. A basic approach to flow class with less movement and sustained holds in order to offer more instruction and alignment tips to help the student understand the basic principles and techniques of postures.
HEATED UP TO 90+ . MORE ENERGIZING MUSIC. A dynamic class known for the coordination of breath and movement stemming from Sun Salutations. A flow class can be for all levels, as the teacher will offer standard postures with more challenging options for students who wish to take it further. Depending on the teacher there may be more or less “flows,” along with held postures to balance out the class.

HEATED UP TO 90+ . GOOD VIBING MUSIC TO GET YOUR DAY STARTED. This is a standard flow class, but may be a little more mellow, as we shake off morning stiffness.

ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA . PRIMARY SERIES
NOT HEATED . NO MUSIC. The Primary series, also known as “First” series, or Yoga Chikitsa (yoga therapy), is the foundational sequence that heals and purifies the whole system, meaning body, emotions, and mind. It’s a very balanced mix of standing postures, floor postures, and cooling postures. The whole sequence in its entirety can be daunting if the student is new.
ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA . SECONDARY SERIES
NOT HEATED . NO MUSIC. The Intermediate series, also known as “Second” series, is a dynamic and challenging practice from beginning to end. This sequence is known for its back-bending, but also includes some of the first arm-balances and foot-behind-the-head postures. In Sanskrit this series is called Nadi Shodana, meaning “Nerve Cleansing,” which relates to the purifying of the spine and the energy therein.
NOT HEATED . NO MUSIC. Mix is a blend of sequences and series requested by the students. Because of this the class is different every time.
NOT HEATED . NO MUSIC. This practice is self-guided vs. students being “led” by a teacher. The students themselves are responsible for learning the Ashtanga sequence through repetition and also the pace in which they move through their practice. The teacher then assists each student with adjustments and verbal instruction specific to their needs. This class is NOT 3 hours, but the students arrive during that window of time to complete their practice. An estimated time span is 1 ½ hours. (Originated from the southern city of India called Mysore, where Sri K. Pattabhi Jois taught so many westerners)
YIN . DEEP STRETCH
NOT HEATED . LIGHT OR NO MUSIC. A very slow-paced style of yoga with postures mostly done on the floor that are held for long periods of time. Yin yoga applies gentle tension to the connective tissue, such as the tendons, fascia, and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility and strength. The poses also improve the flow of prana (life force) to boost organ health, immunity, mental and emotional balance and well-being. Appropriate for all levels.
